FPCTA operates as a volunteer-driven community theatre in the area of the state where professional theatre is limited to touring shows. Annual audiences number in excess of 12,000. FPCTA provides a distinctive opportunity for performance and technical theatre experience and a cross-generational family volunteer experience. No costs are associated with performing in FPCTA shows and auditions are open to the public. All productions provide hands-on training for the next generation of theater artists by providing experience in all aspects of production. FPCTA is supported by approximately 350 volunteers annually, including volunteer actors, stage hands, costumers, technicians, directors, choreographers, producers, lighting designers, sound engineers, props masters, puppeteers, board members, fundraisers, marketing and publicity personnel, grant writers, and office workers.
