Fantasy in the Classroom

FPCT after-school programs are modifications of our general acting curriculum. The classes focus on developing the Actor’s Tool Box (Body, Voice, Mind, and Imagination) that inspire creativity and build self-confidence. For eight or ten weeks, students will be divided up into age appropriate classes and meet after school one day a week for an hour. We will explore elements of theatre that are developmentally appropriate and engaging. On the final day of class, students will apply their skills in an informal sharing for family and friends. FPCT presents each student with a Certificate of Achievement at the end of each session.

FPCT has liability insurance and provides school with proof of policy upon request.

The Education Director or senior staff member will attend the first and last classes of each session, as well as make periodic visits to each school throughout the session to observe classes.

Please click the purple button above to register for our after-school programs at your school. Students are registered upon receipt of registration and payment in full. Don’t see your school? Please contact Candice Cooper, Education Director at 256-539-6829.

We appreciate having a parent or teacher liaison, and a parent or teacher representative onsite for each class.

All of FPCT Teaching Artists are professionals in their fields. FPCT is committed to providing high quality theatre arts education to students. Our goal is to help students flourish and grow, both as artists and people. In adherence with Huntsville and Madison City School and Madison County School regulations, FPCT’s after-school program Teaching Artists have had/will have Alabama State Criminal Background Checks. FPCT Teaching Artists are CPR certified.

10-12 students per class. If more than 12 students enroll then an additional teacher will be present or the class will be divided to make two classes. Classes are divided by age and are one hour long. FPCT requests a large room for our after-school classes. For example: multipurpose room, cafeteria, library or large classroom where desk/furniture can be moved.

Tuition varies based on the number of weeks.
