FPCT Academy serves arts education for children ages 3-18 from the Madison County public, private and homeschool sectors. We believe that theatre arts education can help students become self-confident, academically successful, creative-thinking citizens who invest in their communities as adults, maybe even sparking the next generation of theater artists, leading them on career paths that they otherwise might not be exposed to: actor, teacher, set designer, costume designer, makeup artist, lighting technician, director, or playwright. Whenever possible, we partner with other arts education programs to serve children wishing to further their arts studies, particularly working with local arts magnet schools to guide students eligible for those programs.
FPCTA after-school programs are modifications of our general acting curriculum. The classes focus on developing the Actor’s Tool Box (Body, Voice, Mind, and Imagination) that inspire creativity and build self-confidence.
In this production-based class, we focus on creating a custom designed drama program for your school. This class culminates in a simple, but fully realized play or musical appropriate for any age range, complete with technical elements such as sound and costumes.
